I just completed one stay on Sunday July 18, and don't see the stay listed on my account yet...wondering how much time does it take to show up on the account?
Also any idea how much time do they take to credit to Southwest? I chose SW airline as the earning preference.
Thanks in advance.

Usually it's around about a week to 10 days when I have southwest as the earning preference. When I go with points it's usually about a week. not sure why BW takes so much longer than Hilton. Remember with BW you don't get both points and Southwest creidts though.
If you are going to be doing a lot of BW stays and your stay is going to average $250 or more and you are just a basic BW member you are better off going with points instead since 5K BW points can be converted to one southwest credit and you can just convert the points when you really want the WN credit

Hi jamesteroh,
thanks for the reply. I'll report back next week if the points have posted. Actually my stay was just around $120, and I just stayed due to the stay 2, get 1 free promotion...so I see the SW credit as bonus (haven't see it yet thought :-))

BW are getting better at posting points but they are still worse than other chains. I often have to hassle BW and the individual hotel.
The problem is with the franchise nature of BW some hotels are much better than others. At some hotels you get the impression that they make a note of your BW number and then don't do anything with it.

The 2 stays for July 19 and July 21, just posted today. I see my Southwest credits too into my SW airlines rapid rewards account!
Now waiting for the free night voucher to show up on the profile, and the paper copy to arrive by mail.

If one's preference is valuable BW points, the points post, and the credited stay post, I'd say, within 72 hrs, or less.

If you book directly with the hotel instead of online it seems to take a lot longer. I had a stay almost 2 weeks ago that I booked with the hotel direct that still hasn't posted. I am concerned with this stay fecause of the 2 stay get a night free promo.
Best western seems to have gotten better with stays booked online but they are still a LOT slower than hilton.

Not my experience and this was in Italy, both posted without delay!

Something else weird I have noticed if I book with the hotel direct, a future reservation won't show up on bw's site. I wonder if that along with points posting varies by the property since BW's are franchised.
My loyalty is with hilton since their diamond program is a lot better than BW, and there is only one US BW I will stay at though (and that is just due to their location in Chicago) so it is possible this property is just slow in posting stays?

My situation was unusual in that I had made a reservation thru the web for one day and they were sold out for the other later days I had wanted. Upon checking out I inquired if they had an opening several days hence when they had been sold out and I lucked out so booked directly with them. Both posted within a couple of days and it may be more a function of the hotel than anything else.
This hotel was not cheap -- $250 and $275 respectively, but they jack everything up during opera season in Verona.
However, the Hotel Armando was thoroughly modern, having just completed a renovation last April and they honored my Diamond status by giving me the largest room in the hotel -- not enormous but still quite nice with modern fixtures and the hotel A/C worked great and did not shut off when you left the room and gave them your key at the front desk -- to save electricity and that commodity is expensive in Italy -- the A/C was not connected to that line and continued to cool the room while we were out.
My stay of August 15th-16th posted on August 19th.

They are getting bad about posting stays booked direct with the hotel. I had two recent stays at the BW Hawthorne in Chicago I had to book direct with the hotel seeing they were special event weekends and neither posted.
I called BW and they did get it resolved pretty fast. I see the points posted but not the premium points. The first stay I used the gift card for the promo they had where you got 5K bonus points for staying this summer and using it and I also am eligible for the free night by staying twice. I hope those promos come through ok.
