Russia - St. Petersburg HotelView Full Version : St. Petersburg Hotel laurajoyce Jul 14, 10, 8:28 pm I have a reservation at the new W Hotel for October. The opening has been delayed until 2011. So, I've been offered the Angleterre, Kempinski Molika 22, Grand Hotel Europe, Astoria. Any thoughts on which I should take? Grand Hotel Europe is considered the most luxurious hotel in the city. Very central with really nice restaurant but I don't believe it is worth the money they charge. Angleterre is a different league - it's a 4 star venue (all other hotels on your list are 5-stars) and unless you are into Russian history (and know who Sergey Yesenin was) opt for a different venue. Kempinski's nicely located - very close to the Hermitage and all the attractions. Astoria's got it all - nice location, gorgeous rooms and great service. I would opt for it. |
