My husband and I may be visiting Lysekil, Sweden for an event from 23-25 July. Since we are a bit late to make plans, it appears that most hotels I've googled are fully booked (and quite expensive).
Does anyone have a suggestion for staying overnight in the area, for one or two nights that weekend? We will drive up from Denmark, so will have a car and can stay a bit of a distance away, but don't want to be too far away in order to be close to the event (tennis legends tournament).
Thanks for any suggestions.

Bohuslän is really busy this time of year. We stayed at Rågårdsviks pensionat, http://www.ragardsvikspensionat.se, a ouple of years ago. It's not to far away from Lysekil.
Your best bet is to contact the tourist information in Lysekil, http://www.vastsverige.com/lysekil, they have insider knowledge and well be able to let you know if there are any cancellations.
Uddevalla is ok as well. It's quite a large town so there should be rooms available and it's less than a 40 min drive. Kullgrens, http://www.kullgrens.se/, is a decent restaurant in Uddevalla by the way.

Thanks for the suggestions. Rågårdsviks pensionat looks very charming. Is it correct that there is a commuter boat directly from Fiskebäckskil over to Lysekil that runs regularly throughout the day?
We were looking at http://www.gullmarsstrand.se (fully booked) but when I plotted it into Google maps for directions to Lysekil, it required a 46 minute drive including a ferry trip on the Finnsbo - Skår/Route 161 ferry (departure every 20 minutes). But then I thought I understood from the hotel's website that they have a boat to Lysekil every 15 minutes from a dock right outside the hotel.
I assume this could be used by anyone traveling from Skaftö to Lysekil?
Looks like an idyllic area - we've been to Marstrand and that is also lovely.
