Central America - Luggage Storage in/near SJO

We'll be in Costa Rica for 11 days in August and arriving with 2 large suitcases from our previous travels. We're renting a car and prefer to travel lighter for this part of the trip. Does anyone know where I could safely store my luggage? I was considering staying at the same hotel at the beginning and end of the trip and asking them to store the luggage, but perhaps there are other alternatives. Wonder if I would have better luck at a large chain hotel or a smaller non-chain location.

I am interested in an answer to the same Q. Any advice?

We managed to keep our luggage at the hotel on the first day and pick it up for our stay at the same hotel on the last night without any problems or extra fees. Was a family run hotel/b&b about 15-20 min from the airport.

We stayed at Margarita's Airport B&B and found them through the positive reviews at tripadvisor http://www.tripadvisor.fr/Hotel_Review-g309224-d1444469-Reviews-Airport_Bed_and_Breakfast_San_Jose-Alajuela_Province_of_Alajuela.html

Not luxurious by any means, but convenient and friendly.
