So far I've flown once and got non-meat KSML on BA. Does anyone know generic meal codes for non-meat kosher meals for flying during 9 days? Someone in my family once got a treif vegetarian meal even after checking the the carrier 3 times (once at reservation, once a few days before, and finally at check-in) and I won't to avoid that situation.

I would just order a KSML. Every time I have flow in 9 days I got a kosher fish meal - I think they supply them a week or so beforehand. This was from Frankfurt, Tel Aviv , New York etc. Exception is on LY, where you shold oder a VLML or fish meal (or special kosher) to ensure no meat in 9 days.
I am flying TLV-LHR-BKK-SYD in 9 days, so hoping it works!

agree with what above poster said. have never had problems on UA or CO, but I do recall having a problem once on LY. I think that whoever provides the kosher meals ensures they are fish/vegetarian during the 9 days

I'm not sure about the 9 days, but Delta was serving Pesach meals in Business Class 3 weeks after Pesach this year!

Could be worse. I got one 4 months after pesach last year - flying LH in business class from CLT....

The worst thing that can happen is that you leave the meat and eat the rest. As far as I know the prohibition is against eating meat rather than being fleishig (although it's a bit of a shame to be fleishig without having the meat!).

Technically you can eat all the parts of the meal even if they were cooked in Meat pots and not be Fleishig, Even in your home if you cook vegies, pasta, rice, etc in a meat pot you are not Fleishig. You should not eat it together with milk but you don't have to wait XX hours ( according to your custom)
Of course eating the sides that are served together with meat in the little dish will make you Fleishig

Yes I was referring to the sides inside the meat dish. Interestingly though my rav this week said that you could not do this in the nine days..

I agree with your Rav. There is no way you can be certain that some meat did not mix in with the sides and the gravy. So eat the first dish and dessert or order something else.

In the end I got poached salmon as the entree, which was actually better than the regular KSML. Now, how do I specify that for the rest of the year? (Also what do shomer kashrut vegetarians do aside from bring-your-own-sarnie?) Tzum kal, all.

We flew Delta ATL-TLV during the 9 days in business. No non-meat kosher meals available.
