I have finally decided to cancel the Club Reward portion of my corporate Diners Club card since I won't be using it that much in the coming year.

So what is the best use for about 29.5k points? they will expire in 60 days!

I am basically looking for anything that gives something more than 1% that may be worthwhile, since this is the minimum I can get by buying gift cards!

Daemon;

If you have any travel plans in the reasonably near future you can get 1.7 % per point value through the Tailored Travel Program, https://www.citibank.com/dinersus/jsp/clubrewards/catalog/canada/english/tailored.jsp?category=4ef15629&subcategory=128518e8 .

It's not great, but it is better than the 1 % ( or less ) that you get for gift cards.

If you are really stuck for something useful to do with the miles, feel free to transfer them to my AA Advantage Account.;) PM me for details, I promise to be very grateful !

I'm not sure what the differences are between Canada and US redemption possibiitlies, and what is of use to you, but I recently found that Diners Club US was particularly good value (compared to any other source) for Best Western hotel points. And Best Western is the only points-based hotel chain near many US (and Canadian, too, I think) national parks, if that's a place you like to travel to.

And Best Western points never expire, and are later transferable to airlines, if you really can never think of a way to use them as hotel points.

(But, again, I don't know if you can transfer DC->BW in Canada, or only in the US.)

And, unlike airlines, there doesn't seem to be (again, at least in the US) a charge for transferring DC->hotel points.

Diners Club Canada Rewards site is here:

Best Western is a transfer partner, but the ratios are different. 2250:3300
