Hertz - Hertz + airline miles

Hi,

has anyone booked a car at the rental with a family or friends frequent flyer no?

If i book online do i need to give those no in or is that only possible at the counter when picking up the car? If one say that he/she forgot the ff membership card and give them only the airline and membership no, would that work?

I've never rent a car before, hence the question.

Whatever FF number is in your reservation will be attempted to apply credit to. I've never tried to use someone elses FF number, but my guess is that when Hertz passes the number and the renter's name to the airline, the airline will reject it.

Did it ! got the Miles posted - the FF# is the key, not the Name on rental.

Not because I wanted to fool, wanted to have extra drivers added and there was only 1 allowed, since we were on a road trip, we wanted to have all the combinations covered betw 3 cars - so that all can party :D

What FFP are you in then if that's the key? But the person needs to be there physically... In my case i wanted to put it on my cousins Hertz rental while she's on holidays and i'm not
