Mileage Run Discussion - AA: LAX-ORD July 4 - $350 for 6143 EQM best I can do?

I have to fly AA this Sun or Mon LAX-ORD and trying to max my cpm. With American's Triple Elite Qualifying Promotion for LGA-ORD, the best I can work out is LAX-ORD-LGA-ORD via multi-city for $350 ai. 6143 EQM -- I know it isn't great but my orig LAX-ORD is $197 (1745 miles).

Is it not worth paying another $150 for the additional 4398 miles? Am I missing something? Any comments (even scathing yet knowledgeable ones) would be appreciated.

If you are good with the circumstances and results then by all means proceed! There's no 'right' or 'wrong' answer. The miles and segments, assuming that's a major consideration for you, all count in the end :D

you could try putting bos in the mix.....

the ft opinions are that 4 cents/qmi or lower are pretty good....the $150 add on is less than that and not to bad for summer fares....good luck...
