InterContinental Hotels Group Stay Forum - Sbs nyc times square

Excellent points stay at the SBS NYC....given room at 11am , late checkout granted to 3pm without hassle...rooms were compact , but contained every thing needed : full kitchen , fridge , stove, microwave, ample kitchenware. Good King bed , firm mattress. Shower , no tub .
Breakfast included , eggs, cooked meats , cererals , fruits , beverages etc... very crowded but ample staff . All of the staff - checkin , bellman, concierge , and maids were extremely friendly and helpful . The manager Tony, is great guy ,who took extra time to seek our opinions and seemed genuinely concerned about service to guests .
Hotel is on 40th street , between 8th and 9th aves. One block from subway , directly across from Port Authority bus station . I have stayed at IC, CP , and HI in NYC within last year and think SBS may be the best value for the money . Within walking distance of TS , 42nd street pier , Bryant park , Macy's & MSG .

Made a same-day points reservation for a one night stay. Reserved Queen room, got a King. Room was clean and quiet, decor was new-looking. Room size was decent by NYC standards, though the bathroom was small. Slept through breakfast so can't comment on that...

I didn't see anything on the hotel website about parking, but it turns out they offer a discount at the garage just to the west (between 9th ave and the hotel). With the validation from the front desk, we paid @28 (incl. tax) for 24 hours, which is a pretty good rate for that neighborhood.
