Hello,

My wife will travel from Nashville to Buenos Aires, ARG, through Atlanta. Since she doesn't speak English I am worried if she will be able to manage finding her way in the airport in Atlanta. Specifically, I would like to know if she will have to go through migration in Nashville or Atlanta.

When she gets to Atlanta will she have to claim her bags and re-check them again for the connecting flight? Or does she only have to look for the gate of her next flight and wait to board?

Any help is greatly appreciated!

From Nashville to Buenos Aires, it's alomst as simple as a domestic US trip. The airline will check her passport when she checks in at Nashville, and will check her bags all the way through. There's no customs or immigration to go thru until she gets to Argentenia.

(This isn't true for the reverse journey. Someone traveling from Argentenia thru Atlanta to Nashville would have to clear US customs and immigration at the Atlanta transfer. The bags are tagged thru, but you have to claim them in Atlanta, clear them thouugh customs, and then drop them at the re-check desk to send them on to Nashville.)

Thanks swag! That's what I had thought, but wanted to be sure since my wife doesn't speak English (she is just starting to learn the language).
