Mexico - Any chance of oil spill affecting the Mexican Gulf coast?

I know that it's a big Gulf, but is there any chance that the oil spill could affect the Mexican Gulf coast? We're thinking of a trip to Yucatan and Campeche next winter.

Though I think that, eventually, some of the oil spill will make ground in Mexico, or contaminate water off the Mexican coastline ... I think the chances of a slick reaching the Yucatan are slim, because of water currents.
