Peru - Cusco area farmers' strike impacts PeruRail service?

I just arrived in Lima to receive an email from PeruRail saying that my June 17 roundtrip from Cusco to Machu Picchu may be impacted by a planned farmers' strike in the Cusco area. The email asked if I could reschedule for a different day or offered me a refund.

First, does anyone know whether this means that our train will certainly be cancelled? The email seemed a bit unclear on this point.

Second, if PeruRail isn't running due to the strike, would Inca Rail be operating? Their website is still showing availability from Olly to MP on the days we could travel, but I don't know if their system is taking this planned strike into account.

Thanks -- we'd certainly hate to have traveled all the way here and not be able to see Machu Picchu.
