I have looked at the sticky and other threads but could not find an answer to this -
I am trying to use my miles to go from DEN- Europe. I know per the rules, that only 2 stopovers are allowed in Europe. I was hoping to fly DEN-TBS (Tbilisi, Georgia), and on the return EVN (Yerevan, Armenia)-WAW-DEN with a stopover in WAW. However, the agent I talked with yesterday indicated that by flying into TBS and leaving from EVN I was using up both my stopovers. Does this seem correct? I am used to using UA miles where an open jaw is equivalent to 1 stopover.
Has anyone used both an open jaw and a separate stopover on the same ticket?
On another note - ANA calculates the mileage on each leg of a flight even if it is not a stopover (per the agent). For example - a flight that goes DEN-IAD-MUC with the same flight # is calculated at 1473 + 4246 = 5719 miles v/s 5225 approx using the Great Circle Mapper.
