Anyone ever notice the confederate flag on a flagpole when landing on 18R? If you zoom in on google maps you can see it just west of the highway and about 500 feet north of Walkers Ferry Rd.

I can't see it on Google maps. Is it in the cemetary?

This has been moved since it has nothing to do with US Airways and freq. flyer issues.

There's nothing unusual about Confederate flags in the South.

Hardly South.....
For years, and maybe still, North of Cincy, on the IH to Columbus, a large, low wooden barn sported a large painted Battle Flag on its roof.

Indeed, just drive around my neighborhood sometime.

Sophisticated Southren folk and the cosmopolitian among Southren exiles/expatriates tend to employ the "Stars and Bars" (National Flag) decals, bumper stickers, display plaques, etc., to befuddle the opinionated but unknowing. If'n you don't know what it looks like, don't ask.....
