Argentina - Sending Money to Buenos Aires

Hello you experts out there, what is the best method to send money to BA without getting fleeced. I found MoneyGram but they want U$S20 for the transaction. Any tips ????

What amount do you wish to send...? I ask this because US$20 as a service fee may actually be a decent price.... have you checked with Western Union...? I dont see where you are sending the $$$ from.... we will need more info to be able to give you the best advice.

There is still no facility to transfer funds to an Argentine bank account but you can get them to send a cheque (not very reliable and even if it arrives, you'll be stung with fees when cashing it) or transfer funds directly to a US bank account

Well, this depends. If you need to wire down $5000 then its theft, but for small amounts, you get hit with the minimun charges and in this case then the 10% is as you say, reasonable.
