5 of us are headed to OSLO. What is the best (price/time) way to get to the Radisson in town? I assume car service since there are so many, any recommendations?, thank you.

Are all five travelers adults, or are there some children amongst the group?

On the Flytoget (express train) directly from Gardermoen to the center city, the adult fare is NOK 170 (£18.01), however, children under age 16 are free.

Which Radisson? There are four of them now.

As Non-NonRev said, Flytoget (http://www.flytoget.no/eng/) is the quickest and most convenient way to go downtown, unless you have a lot of luggage. Children under the age of 16 travel for free in the company of adults.

If you stay at the Radisson Blu Scandinavia hotel you might consider going by bus. Flybussen (http://www.flybussen.no/index.asp?lang=ENG) will take you from door to door, but is slower than the train.

Thanks. All adults - no checked baggage - was just thinking it may be easier to pre book a car service

Radisson Blu Scandinavia.

Radisson Blu Scandinavia.

In that case, Flybussen - as mentioned above - is recommended. 140 NOK per person (cheaper than flytoget), and it takes you directly to the door outside the hotel in about 53 minutes. The train will give you an about 10 minute walk from the nearest station.

It's easy to find: Leave the terminal on ground level (arrivals), and look for the buses marked "Flybussen", not to be confused with "Flybussekspressen", which is a different company, and does not travel to downtown Oslo (almost, but not quite..)
