Hey Ladies!
I am looking for a new traveling sock. I am a casual traveller and usually wear jeans and Nikes. During my latest trip, I wore some very comfy cotton socks but they didn't sink wash and drip dry very well. I have noticed the "travel socks" are pretty pricey so I am looking for some real life recommendations before buying any.
I would like these socks to be:
- Comfortable and cushy
- Not thin - I need some meat on my socks
- Not itchy
- Wick moisture
- Sink wash and drip dry quickly
- Available in white
Thanks!

Can I ask why you want white specifically?
I love smartwool (https://www.smartwool.com/default.cfm#/Womens/Socks/) socks...

I like Darn Tough brand, especially their 1/4 socks in merino or coolmax. Both kinds are pretty quick drying and the only socks that prevent blisters for me.
Made in Vermont, pretty sure, for anyone that likes to buy American.
Best price I've found is at shoebuy.com using random coupon codes found online (sorry I just broke my arm so links are a bit beyond me)

Smartwool, Ph D. running socks (anti blister), the little short one. I wear them religiously for walking and running. I can't imagine wearing something else. THey come in black and white and gray.

Another vote for SmartWool, although I can't remember the name of the exact model I prefer (hiking?). In fact, that's the only sock I wear for anything other than tennis.

After reading this thread over a month ago, I bought some of the PhD ultra thin running socks for running. I love them. Thank you all for recommending them, prior to reading this thread I had never even heard of SmartWool socks.

Just had an issue where a pair of smartwool socks ripped at the toe the first day of wear. I sent an email to them, and I now have a new pair, while the old pair is headed to smartwool, at their cost, no questions asked.

Were the ones that ripped the cable crews? I have had several pairs for about 3 years, and I was planning to order some new ones from REI. The reviews of the cable crews were really bad, although I have loved mine. So I was wondering if there has been some change in that model.

They were the StandUP/Microcushion.
