Best Western Rewards - Best Western Gift Card is expiring

I received a $50 BW gift card last year in a promotion. I am trying to sell it on ebay but it doesn't allow such hotel certificate listing. I am wondering whether there is anyhwere online to sell it. Any suggestion?

You should be able to sell it with no problem on Ebay. I see several listed now. I have gotten gift cards before as gifts for places I don't shop at and have sold them on Ebay before (for almost the value of the card) with no problem. I would just try relisting it.

If that doesn't work try craigslist, not out anything since it's free.

Thanks for your suggestion. I did list it on Ebay and got ~$40 bid. Ebay removed my listing one day before the expiration date. I asked Ebay why... the answer is the hotel gift card is simply not allowed. Yes, I did see several other listings... they are just lucky.

Another thing you can do is do a buy it now listing and hope someone buys it before it is removed. When southwest still had the paper award tickets I listed one on ebay that was about to expire. This was before they had seat restrictions and someone needed a plane ticket a few days later and bid the $300 buy it now. It was really stupid because even though the ticket was sold Ebay said it violated their terms of services and was voiding out the auction. The seller already paid me via paypal and the ticket was in the fed ex box and they cancelled it out. Worked out great for me though, meant no auction fees:)
