I take it you don't want to do the SPG trade anymore? ;) longleaf May 27, 10, 1:22 pm I am trying to transfer 64000 WR points to US Airways. I ordered a quantity of 8 -(8,000 WR each) transferred into 25,600 miles on US Airways (not including the 50% bonus). When i checkout it asks for a shipping address. I don't want miles shipped anywhere. I just want them transferred to my US airways account. Do i leave this checkout page blank? Put in my address? Put in US Airways address? It is very confusing. I just want the miles transferred to an airline, not physically shipped anywhere. Can someone help me out with what to do here? Thanks for a quick response. longleaf May 27, 10, 1:50 pm I'll reply to my own post, b/c i finally got someone to pick up the phone at WR. They said it is a new glitch, since they updated the site. When you transfer points to miles (in the "marketplace"), it treats miles like any other product. You just put in your own mailing address that you want the miles shipped to, even though you are actually transferring miles to your program. Hopefully the turnover time in transferring these miles makes it within the deadline of the US Airways 50% bonus promo.:D Wyndham Rewards May 28, 10, 12:26 pm I'll reply to my own post, b/c i finally got someone to pick up the phone at WR. Do you have any idea what the average turnaround time is for transferring miles to a FF account? thanks Wyndham Rewards Jun 1, 10, 7:57 am Do you have any idea what the average turnaround time is for transferring miles to a FF account? thanks Please allow 6-8 weeks for the miles to be posted to your account. abcx Jun 4, 10, 4:59 pm Please allow 6-8 weeks for the miles to be posted to your account. 6-8 weeks is way too long for someone to wait. Besides, your page (obviously mistakenly) states that it takes 7-10 business days. I suggest WR figure out how to expedite this process. I transferred some to US airways in May (I think 25th) and they better show up before the 50% bonus expires on July 31. longleaf Jun 4, 10, 5:22 pm I transferred some to US airways in May (I think 25th) and they better show up before the 50% bonus expires on July 31. Ditto. I will be really pissed if these miles don't post before the end of the US Air promo. I don't see why it can take 1-2 months for the miles to post. Starwood had my miles transferred to US Air in 3 business days.:o abcx Jun 27, 10, 1:58 pm WR is an absolutely lousy program. The CSRs don't know anything. It's already been over a month and my transfer to US has not posted. Yeah, I know it's supposed to take 6-8 weeks , but I called today since I was worried that it won't even post after 6-8 weeks and I would be out the US 50% bonus. The CSRs are so useless, they're just like it takes the supplier 6-8 weeks to 'deliver' the points. I call bull****, because Starwood gets it done much faster. And then she says, well, our Ts&Cs say 6-8 weeks so we're just following that and there's nothing we will/can do to try to expedite it. What a load of horse****. Wyndham Rewards, you should get your act together. 6-8 weeks is way too long as I said above, and I, for one, will probably never stay at WR or even earn or buy WR next time the Amex deal comes around after this poor experience. bearcat74 Jul 1, 10, 9:54 am 6-8 weeks is way too long for someone to wait. I just sent in my second email asking what they delay was. The first one two weeks ago they just replied that they were "aware of the issue". Great. Now Fix It! bearcat74 Jul 6, 10, 3:16 pm My US miles from 5/25 finally posted sometime over the weekend as they were there today when I checked my balance. BlissWorld Jul 9, 10, 9:06 am My US miles from 5/25 finally posted sometime over the weekend as they were there today when I checked my balance. Lucky you. I initiated the transfer on 5/21 and have received NOTHING. abcx Jul 9, 10, 9:58 am Nothing here either. Did it on 5/26. Here's hoping it shows up soon. cupps Jul 9, 10, 11:15 am Transferred enough Wyndham rewards points to net 22K AA miles on 5/20/10. As of earlier today, the miles have still not shown up in the account. Sent in an email earlier in the week and thus far have received zero response. I am glad that I have had only minor participation with this hotel rewards program because their service is dreadful! longleaf Jul 18, 10, 10:56 pm Damn't Wyndham! When are you going to send my points to US Airways? I initiated a transfer on May 27th and still no points have been deposited into my US Air account. abcx Jul 19, 10, 2:22 am Same situation here. Initiated a transfer on May 26 and the 8 weeks expire this coming Wednesday. Something tells me that Wyndham is not going to post the points by this Wednesday. Get your programme together Wyndham. Somehow everyone else can run a hotel loyalty program but you. Angeleno228 Jul 19, 10, 2:35 am Something tells me that Wyndham is not going to post the points by this Wednesday. Most likely not. I initiated a transfer to AA on May 20th, and last Thursday was the end of the 8-week period. Nothing posted. I called and was placed on hold, finally the rep comes back and tells me they will be looking into but refused to give a timeframe on how long the investigation will take. I reminded her this is past the 8-weeks they had, she didn't seem to care. This is beyond horrible. abcx Jul 19, 10, 2:41 am Most likely not. Of course, if you call before 8 weeks they just read off the script that the terms say it could take 8 weeks. What a bunch of useless morons. It's really frustrating to talk to them on the phone. The 'supervisors' are as useless as the people they are supposed to be supervising. It seems that nobody at WR knows what's going on, and even if they did, it'll take five years to find someone with the authority to fix the issue. They are completely clueless - they claim that it takes US 8 weeks to sell them miles. They can't even tell me if the order has been placed with US (clearly not, because I can't imagine US taking 8 weeks to 'deliver' the miles). WR has successfully used the Discover America promotion to drive people away from their brand. Good job, Wyndham. :td: longleaf Jul 19, 10, 11:23 am I will be so pissed if they don't get these miles transferred in time, before the end of July, and within the 8 week period they claim. This behavior speaks volumes on how much Wyndham cares about loyalty from its guests and reward members. How do they not realize that this greatly tarnishes their brand and customer loyalty? Angeleno228 Jul 20, 10, 7:56 am As a follow up to my above post (though mine is not US Airways related)... Happy to say all miles showed up overnight after one more attempt to give them a call yesterday. I got a nice agent who helped me resolve this. I think the issue was (from what i gathered), after they migrated to the new system, they most likely lost the mileage account numbers. So after I provided them with my AA number yesterday, all 9 separate transactions posted overnight with original request dates (well sort of... instead of all eight posting as 5/20 which was my original request date, they posted as 9 separate consecutive dates starting with 5/16,5/17,5/18.....5/24). Unfortunately they ignored my request to post them with a June 30 date so I could take advantage of the AA's 25%-35% bonus promo... but I'm not complaining. Hope this helps for all who are still waiting. abcx Jul 25, 10, 2:31 pm WR is unbelivable. I called today and asked about US transfer. Spoke to a supervisor - got the same canned response that because of the new system we are facing issues and we are trying to fix them. I can't understand what kind of critical IT system takes 8 weeks to fix. So I asked for an ETA. Of course, she doesn't have one. There's absolutely nothing these monkeys at the call center can do. She just asked me to call back. I lost my cool but I don't think I would have made any headway if I were politer. I tried to get her to call US while I was on the phone with her and manually figure out what the problem was, but no luck. Angeleno - I am calling right now to confirm that they have the US account #. longleaf Jul 26, 10, 10:25 am WR is unbelivable. I called today and asked about US transfer. Angeleno - I am calling right now to confirm that they have the US account #. I know. The employees there seem to be completely useless. I have sent multiple emails with no response. I called to be asked to put my transfer on the priority list, which they did, and the lady said she would call me back in 2 days to let me know if the transfer was successful. No call back 5 days later. I called again and spoke to a different rep who said that i have to speak to the same rep to figure out the progress on the transfer. I asked her to transfer me to that rep. She said that you can not request a specific rep. So, now i am in limbo, and seriously doubt that they will get the miles transferred in time, despite their terms and conditions noting that it would take less than 8 weeks. I now hate Wyndham with all my heart. abcx Jul 26, 10, 11:59 pm As a follow up to my above post (though mine is not US Airways related)... Hope this helps for all who are still waiting. You were right. Apparently, they completely lost the account number. First, they kept referring me to some "redemption team" which might have been able to look it up, but since I am on the West Coast, I had some trouble calling them within working hours. Anyway, I called them at around 8pm PST and spoke to a lady who again asked me to call back tomorrow. It seemed that my yelling the day before had paid off as there were notes on my account and they seemed to have escalated it. This lady said that I could call back tomorrow and confirm the US FF number on the order and they would try to take care of it. I said why don't I just give you the US number right now and you take care of it. Well, she did! I got my 73.6k miles. Posted with a transaction date of July 14 and a posting date of July 26. So well within the date of the US 50% bonus. I am happy that it worked out but still, shame on WR. 110k miles for $484: priceless! 0.4cpm. Richey66 Jul 27, 10, 5:30 am Abcx, can you help me out with the lady's name, I try to speak to her too, I am having exactly same issue. Did you call Wyndham US or UK helpline, what number please? Richey66 Jul 28, 10, 9:38 am Well, my experience, abcx, has been quite different from yours: my call was transferred to supervisor, who boldly repeated how they are "working on the situation", and "we haven't read your emails, cause we're behind on it"...He refused of any compensation and when I told him I will sue them in small claims court..he just answered: "go ahead". So is there anything I can do in court? I am actually ready to spend more money than these miles are worth just to make trouble for these suckers! longleaf Jul 28, 10, 6:52 pm Well, my experience, abcx, has been quite different from yours: my call was transferred to supervisor, who boldly repeated how they are "working on the situation", and "we haven't read your emails, cause we're behind on it"...He refused of any compensation and when I told him I will sue them in small claims court..he just answered: "go ahead". Richey66 Jul 29, 10, 12:43 am I also finally got it solved, when I emailed: Awards.LinQInquiries@wyndhamworldwide.com with threat of legal action.
