Midwest - Int'l to domestic connection in Detriot

Hi--

My travel agent has found me a good flight from AMS to MCI, but it includes a 1 h 30 minute connection in Detroit. I will be travelling with a toddler, so it seems a bit tight... anyone have some RECENT experience there? I assume I will have to clear security again after customs?

Unfortunately, you have to reclear "security" after Immigration and Customs. However, DTW has "security" airside right after I&C so the transit time is decreased.

IMO this belongs in the Delta Forum where very similar questions have been asked and answered a number of times.

I am on record as believing that at DTW an hour and a half connection to or from the moon is adequate unless you are a foreign national arriving internationally.
