US Airways Dividend Miles - UA RCC access without US Club card?

Just wondering if any US club members have tried to get into a UA RCC without their US card? I lost my card and requested a new one; the CSR said to use my DM card in the mean time, which I have, but didn't know if that would work for the YA clubs. Flying before the mailman shows up tomorrow!

I used the invoice for my membership to get into RCCs for a few weeks while waiting for my card. YMMV.

I was successful with a US Club invoice printout as well - ORD RCC back in February.

Has anyone have any current information gaining access to the United Club without a US Air Card in hand. I will have a letter of enrollment in a few days, however, US Air states that the card may take a few weeks to arrive. I have several UA flights in early December and would like to use the United Lounges in LAX, BOS, IAD, ORD Kindly advise. Thanks and Safe Travels

Thanks alanh for the reply. I hope I will have access with the same. I have heard that without the card, the United lounge agents will not let you enter as they must swipe the card for accountancy issues.. Safe Travels..

Technically, you need your card to get in, but I've never had a problem. Just have a print out of your memebership, or at least your number and exp date, and you should be let in with no problems. As always, it's best if you do not have a "better than thou" attitude as you approach the agent. Seems logical, but reading the posts on here, I swear everyone on here is able to walk on water.

Exactly. I said something like "Sorry, but I haven't gotten my permanent card yet. I have a temporary one, I hope that's okay."

Note that you do need the club membership # and expiration date; your DM card or boarding pass by themselves will not be enough.
