Women Travelers - Are Valmont products worth the money?

These seem super-expensive (like $140/oz) for eye and mouth hydration. Surely there must be some cheaper products that work just as well?
Thanks!

I don't get paying that much for moisturizer. I simply use Olay with sunscreen. I'm always told that I look much younger than I am and I have no wrinkles at all. The big thing is to always wear sunscreen

This is going to be so vague ...but a friend (wish I could remember who) recently told me she read a story about a test on different moisturizers (wish I could remember where, but I do recall it was a source I considered reputable). The finding was the same products worked very differently on different people, even if their skin types appeared to be the same. (At least I remembered that part!)

Anyway ...conclusion was basically to hunt around and see what works for you. Valmont products may do wonders for one person, but some cheap drugstore brand may do the same for someone else.

Best web site I've found to help decide what is and isn't worth the money from the beauty department: Beautipedia.com (http://Beautipedia.com). It's run by Paula Begoun, author of Don't Go to the Cosmetics Counter Without Me and since I started taking her advice, my skin, which had gotten a bit dry and tired-looking after a year's use of Burt's Bees, has improved quite a bit.
