Of course! Don't let the volcano stop you from visiting Iceland. If the fares were not ridiculously high, I'd go in a heartbeat.

And if you are flying from NYC, the winds are likely to be going the other way ... and if not, you might like an unexpected trip to Akureyri via Glasgow! (More miles perhaps too!)
