I've been doing SAN-DTW for few months now.

There are three daily non-stop options on Delta. This is the most important to me.

Price wise, US Air has the best price to DTW as far as I can tell, but its 1-stop and its US Air.

To CLE its a toss-up. No non-stop options that I'm aware of...

FYI, flying into DAY seems to offer the cheapest option pretty consistently when flying into western OH....

DAY has become pricely as of late (all airlines). So my last comment isn't necessarily true anymore..

We've been going back and forth between San Diego and Columbus for 40 years and always count on either AA or DL. Their rates are always highly competitive and you may depart most any time of day. There may be a direct (same plane) flight or two on WN, but you will pay for it by having to stop in PHX or LAS or God knows where.
