Best Western Rewards - Status Match - 5k pts posting yet?

I signed up for the status match and have now made my stay with BW as of 3-weeks ago but haven't seen the 5k bonus yet.

Has anyone, and if so how long is it taking to appear?

As discussed in another thread it appears that some members have seen the 5k but then it disappeared a few days later, did they finally get re-posted?

My email never said I needed to call. I did everything online:

Can you get this 5k points if you choose miles? How valuable these points are?

Would be nice if BW send a confirmation email once registered as other chains do, such as SPG. (and SPG actually posts points without having to be chased, but that's another problem)

5,000 points can be exchanged for a Southwest credit. They can probably be exchanged for miles on other airlines as well.


Can you get this 5k points if you choose miles? How valuable these points are?

Is there a link for this? I have only seen the status match but not with the 5,000 points.

I just made Diamond with Hilton and am waiting on the new card before I apply for the status upgrade and if I can get 5,000 more points that will be really nice.

According to the T&C of the offer you have to live in Canada or the US or the carribean islands to qualify:

You could always try emailing the form over and seeing what happens. Worse they can do is say no.

sent status match email for priority platinum ambassador and got diamond elite today but no 5K points either

I am not sure,but I status matched via email and it was changed in less than 24 hours. I am staying at a BW this week,so based on others' experiences,I should know in 6 weeks. I will update if/when the 5K posts

That's not really equal to Hyatt Diamond, is it? Do Best Western really think they can attract me with the "Gold" status :rolleyes:

I just requested a status match as a Hyatt Diamond and they matched me to Platinum. Not sure what went wrong for you. Not enough stays on your statement maybe?

I didn't send any statement because it said "membership card" on the form. So in this case I will forward my statement. Maybe this will do the trick.

If you dont plan on using BW, you can still buy points with Gold status (Grand Slam related)

However not in the european part of the program (european adresses).

Hi, new to the site. I'm in the UK and got the status match option (no 5k bonus though).

I asked them to match to the Marriott Silver Elite and BW upgraded me to Diamond level.

Does anyone know if BW has a once-per-lifetime limit on status matching? I'm pretty close to making Gold Elite with BW, and could do it without hotel hopping, but I'd like to get the elite bonus points for my next stay if possible
