I'll be traveling to FCO from CLT on an A330 (envoy class.) I booked the seat in row 5 that is next to the pilot rest seat thinking that it would be quiet and private. Any thoughts on this particular seat versus another that you would recommend? TIA

Personally, I don't like Row 5 traveling east and will do what I can to avoid it. It is just too close to the galley and the seats do not recline as far as the others. If you want to be in the back of Envoy (assuming these are not the lie flat seats and Boeing Boy should weigh in on that), then perhaps Row 4 would suit your purpose for quiet.

The galley plus lav was a concern of mine too. I wasn't aware that the seat doesn't recline fully, though.

I can't really add anything to the comments already made except that if you're fortunate enough to get one of the A332's with the suites recline won't be a problem. But I wouldn't advise booking a seat based on the chances of getting one of the five A332's so equipped.

And I guess no one knows where the new configurations are being used? I agree, that would be pleasant to fly one of those.
