I have 1070 miles about to expire as I haven't flown Midwest on a paid ticket for 3 yrs and have no such flight planned. I'm assuming these miles are gone, but any thoughts on how to save them or spend them (no attractive magazine offers)? Thank you.

Points.com, but don't expect much for that few miles.

If you just want to keep your miles from expiring, make a purchase:

Donate a magazine subscription to a local hospital and take a tax credit next year.

I didn't realize Florida residents were not subject to the U.S. tax code. If I only lived there, I could donate 100,000 YX miles to my local hospital and subtract $3,000 to $4,000 from my federal income taxes owed. ;)
