Midwest - I-80 Eastbound closed over Mississippi again till 7-1

Like last year, repairing bridge deck. Take 280 around South side of Quad Cities. After 7-1 bridge is scheduled to be open single lane both ways.

Thanks so much for the update rustyr! I am leaving tomorrow to take my daughter up to see Iowa State in Ames...knowing this will save me some time.

If you go across the bridge westbound, it is down to one lane and there is a speed limit of 45 or 55 no big deal but w/construction there may be some delays. Or you could just take 280 West and hookup West of Davenport w/80 again. There will be a lot more cross-country truck traffic though.

Opened to 2-way traffic yesterday, one lane each direction. Well ahead of schedule; in fact the contractor gets a 1 mill$ bonus for doing so. Bridge supposed to be totally done by Nov 1.
