Thinking about staying at one and could qualify for the highest level w/ Marriott Rollover, or the middle one w/ IC or Marriott nights. Do you know if they'd match? Thanks!
I'm really not sure. Most big corporations do just b/c the frequently returning guests (whether it be business or other) are huge when it comes to their viability. If they can attract people by matching status in the first year while the quest requalifies for the fallowing years, it is enticing.
If no here can give you a definitive answer soon, try calling them and asking. Just let us know what you find out.

Omni Gave me Platinium, when I send an e-mail. I send a copy of my status from other Hotel-programs. Omni has: Gold/Plat/Black. They are not in Europe.

I got matched to platinum. I had to send in screenshots from my other program to show my current status at the other program.

Anyone know if this is still going on? I am Gold with Hilton and SPG. Any chance of getting matched to something with Omni? I'm going to a wedding and staying at an Omni in the near future. The upgrade would be nice...

I tried in December and was turned down.
But the base "Gold" level is pretty good. Most notably, real express check-in and the morning beverage service.

Just tried to ring Omni this morning to see if they would match either SPG Plat (with 50+ nights in 2011) or IHG Plat, and was turned down.
Surprising, and a shame, as I have some upcoming stays where Omni would be a good option.
Has anyone had any success in 2012 with them on status matches?
