Korea - Flight to Seoul

I’m trying to determine if it’s worth the extra 3k USD to upgrade my flight from coach class to business class to Seoul and would appreciate any opinions from those who have made the flight or similar flights. I’m not 100% what coach class involves vs business class – seat size, leg room, etc…
I’m flying JFK to ICN via Asiana Airlines.
Thanks for the info!

$3000 is not exactly a bargain, so really depends on your bank account, and your comfort requirement.
You are getting a bigger seat for the money, better meal, lounge access, more luggage allowance.

But I don't believe you are getting a flat bed seat. AFAIK only SQ has flat bed seats to Seoul, so I'd say not to do it.
BTW that 3K is pretty darn pricey for an upgrade. Last time I flew SQ RT SFO-SEL-SFO, the whole ticket was about $3500.

KE has full flat bed in C as well on some routes operated by 77W.

Asiana has one of the most comfortable economy cabins in the world - it's not worth it to upgrade to business, IMHO. Read this recent trip report (http://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowTopic-g293924-i8595-k3520678-Trip_Report_Hanoi_Halong_Bay_just_returned_Sunday-Hanoi.html) from TA.

FYI, I just noticed that some 77E are also equipped with full flat bed business class.
