Hi:
Anybody know anything about this hotel? Ever stayed there? Going to be in Stockholm in July for 2 nights and thinking about staying here.
Good decision? Bad decision?
Thanks.

Hi!
No personal experience, but the place seem to have a solid reputation. It is owned by the former ABBA member Benny Andersson and is sort of a "designer/chic/boutique" style hotel. If you want to stay on "söder", Rival or Hilton Slussen are probably the best picks.
It is quite small so it should have a more personal feel than the larger chain hotels.
Location is really good in the middle of söder for sightseeing, city and major sights are within easy walking distance. The area is filled with pubs and restaurants of varying quality so it will be noisy and possibly a bit rough during evenings and late nights. Not really dangerous, but be careful. Expect a lot of street-life and curbside resturant tables during July :)

Stayed there one night a few years ago. It was really nice, as I recall. And the room was incredibly quiet.

Hi jth and Inixon:
Thank you for your input. Based upon what you have said, and some other research, I think we are going to go ahead and try it. The rate is not too bad (relatively speaking, of course for Stockholm) for 2 nights as they are running some deals right now if you book before the end of March.
Again, appreciate your assistance.

You should most defiantly go ahead with the Rival. I put our visiting clients, all foreign, in this hotel (mostly due to the closeness to my apartment and that it usually is long hours and late nights when in sales).
All have praised it as one of their best all in all hotel experiences. The staff I think couldn’t be more helpful, the restaurant is good as well as the bar.
The south side of Stockholm is generally considered to be our equivalent to Greenwich Village if one should compare neighborhoods. Perfect for strolls (go east and not west Rival is central part) around to small shops, cafes, bars and a short walk down to the old town.
Let me know if you need any further advice.
It has been parked at the very top of the TripAdvisor ranking for quite a while now, and for a good reason too. Among us locals it has quite a solid reputation and honestly, I find it being worth every Swedish krona!
