Mileage Run Discussion - Asia run upgrade ques and calculating miles

I’m trying to first understand and then plan out a mileage run by doing a trip from LAX- SIN and possibly looking at adding a Y/B fare from SIN – LAX, so basically 2 trips that I will use to earn miles. I’ll fly out and spend a few days then return on the Y/B fare, and like a month or 2 later I will complete the last 2 parts of the roundtrips. I realize this is not a true MR but a way to earn miles. I’m been reviewing a ton of threads and trying to understand all of the rules and options but it’s been difficult and I don’t have all of the details worked out yet. So here is what I have and could use some pointers to see if it is correct.

I have questions on upgrades and the calculation of EQM’s and RDM’s, I am only a Premier right now.

LAX – SIN mileage calculation: Y/B fare
Base miles round trip = 17,588
EQM = 17,588
Y/B fare = 150% EQM, 17,588 + 8,794 = 26,382
Premier Member gets 25% RDM Bonus = 4,389
Total 21,977 RDM and 26,382 EQM

Based on a discount economy fare for a Premier member I only receive the 25% RDM bonus so:
Total 21,977 RDM and 17,588 EQM

I read how to limit ITA searches to Y/B fares, I found a B fare “BLXESG” which prices out on ITA at $1902.70. When I search at .bomb it is pricing out the Y fare which is $2761.70, is there a way to force it to price the “B” fare? Or do I have to call to book it? I looked on Experttraveler and the segments I can find have “B” availability, at least they say “B9”.

For upgrades with this fare, how do I go about doing it to get the most change of obtaining one?
1. Since it is a full economy fare do I request a free upgrade?, or just see if it happens automatically? Does it ever happen right after booking or are you mostly wait listed?
2. Use miles to upgrade (or request an upgrade?) at time of booking?
3. Use Miles plus money and is this requested after booking?

Thanks for any help.

As for Expedia, I was shocked with my experience with Expedia.co.in. I hope "dot com" uses more advanced tools.

The situation was that the website only allows to search for 1 stopover and to a max of 3 segments in a "multi city" search. When I called them to book 2 stopovers I realised that the phone operator was using the SAME webtool I used (maybe a bit different). So, booking the second stopover was unsuccessful. Hopefully, TG allowed to me to pay domestic tax at check-in that helped me to save on re-issuance fee.

Why not use SQ.com?
