So I need to book a reward ticket for April 11 back from CDG to IAD and prefer a direct flight. I tried online and only flex awards are available. So I called Canada to see if they had any other info. I even had them check other AF flights and then Delta to DCA but no seats. So I asked if she could remind me which fare class I needed for elites so I could set up an alert on expertflyer (it is still pointing to W on that site) and she told me she could not. I asked if that meant she did not know or if she could not tell me and she said it was against policy for them to give out fare classes. Is this true???? Is this some state secret or she just a philistine? Luckily I found it on this site but I was a but shocked....
