Travel with Pets - Recent experience Europe-->USA flying with hunting dogs?

Does anyone have any recent experience on AF, KL or DL flying from Europe with hunting dogs that they can share. These dogs have EU passports but are not experienced flyers. We are particularly concerned with connections in MSP, DTW or ORD.
