Marriott Rewards (including Ritz-Carlton) - Does Gold make a difference at JW Marriott Grande Lakes

I am probably staying at the JW Marriott in a few weeks time. Do Golds get anything there that Silvers don't?

Lost my Gold status, so now just Silver, and wondering if it is worth spending the points to get Gold back.

Nope, I'm Gold and stayed there in Jan and didn't get a room upgade or conc. level floor
