Virgin Atlantic Flying Club - Went Silver to Gold and my Tier Points didn't roll over

I attained my Gold Status last weekend and was dismayed to find that 2 of my Tier Points were discarded in the process. On March 6th, I needed 3 more points to reach Gold status. That evening I flew Upper Class from London to Delhi, which was supposed to net me 5 points. Yesterday I logged onto my Virgin account to find that I need 30, not 28 Tier Points to renew Gold by March 31st, 2011.

Feeling like I was being treated like a second class citizen right as I reached the top I emailed Virgin, asking for a correction or a reason why, but I received a response which basically said "it isn't possible", with no further explanation given. Arguably this is a large loss of value for me. I might have only flown Premium had I known, so I resent that this wasn't clarified, and I can't find anywhere in Virgin's Terms & Conditions that this is covered in.

Is there anyone here who can enlighten me a bit regarding Virgin's policies, or better yet, are there any suggestions on the best way to contact someone at Virgin who might be able to credit these points back to me, e.g. writing a proper letter to management, SRB's office, or somesuch?

Very grateful for any help given...

I can't see why you think you have been treated like a second class citizen. AFAIK VS have never rolled over TPs.

It has always been 30 points to retain gold in your new membership year.

It is all explained here. (http://www.virgin-atlantic.com/en/gb/frequentflyer/membershipbenefits/tier_points/index.jsp) on the VS website.

VS, like many airlines, resets your TP balance to 0 when you either attain Ag or Au or renew. This has always been the case and writing will not change it.
