Ryanair's refusal to allow more than four wheelchair passengers to travel at any one time has left the Irish Paralympic table tennis team fearing they won't be able to attend international games this summer.

From a business perspective, why does Ryanair continue to behave this way? The company seems to attempt no damage control whatsoever. I'm baffled.

Why not use another airline?

According to the article, it's the only carrier offering a direct flight to Nantes.

Budget may be an issue as well.

But that was my first reaction, too.

They're either trying to embarrass RyanAir (not a bad thing), or looking for sympathy. But if it's the difference between no flight, or taking a stop-over flight it's a no-brainer! It's not like it is very far from Ireland to France.

Maybe I'm not Irish enough to understand the problem. ;)

Such a limitation strikes me as express discrimination. Someone should take FR to court over this.
