TalkBoard Topics - Motion Passed: Move LatinPass/GlobalPass to Discontinued Programs

that the TalkBoard recommends that the LatinPass/GlobalPass forum be moved to the Discontinued Programs section of FlyerTalk.

This vote will close on Mar 1, 10 at 6:09 am or after all TalkBoard members have registered their vote, whichever comes first.

I am voting for this proposal. Even though Globalpass technically still exists it is for all intents and purposes moribund, and without airline partners as such it has been discontinued as a mileage program.

The alternative, it seems, would be to fold it into another forum but my strong preference is to keep it in one place for historical/archive purposes. The LatinPass run is too important in the history of mileage running to have the forum's threads dispersed into history.

Rather, the forum will live on essentially in an archive, chronicling what once was...!

While I agree that GlobalPass has ceased to exist as a FFP, it does however still exist and hence I am not sure that "Discontinued Programs" is an appropriate home for it.

I have chosen to abstain from this vote for lack of any better ideas however.

Yeah, I am completely agree with you. The thread will have to be moved into discontinued program. This is where its belonging there. I am understand the program is no longer existed due to chapter 11 bankruptcy. It will have to be consider to voting from Talkboard member.
