Frontier appears to be added these destionations, most likely from DEN
Grand Rapids
Branson
Green Bay
Madison
Long Beach
Santa Barbara
Newport News
The three WI/MI ones are clearly leveraging the YX presence which already exists. LGB and SBA will be more west coast destinations for YX customers to connect to. But Newport News??
Branson? Didn't AirTran fail at that attempt?

From Milwaukee they did; however, these new routes are from Denver.

They did from MKE. I believe they still fly it from ATL, not sure though. Does Sun County still fly to Branson from MSP? I'm sure there is some kind of subsidy and a DEN flight to that region may be needed for better West connections. I have no idea what the flights from the region look like and where they connect too.

They failed on Branson-Milwaukee (30-35% full), but are doing reasonably well on Branson-Atlanta. Sun Country also flies Branson-MSP and Branson-DFW seasonally.

Do you know if it is just a codeshare with YX. I have a lot of YX miles and was wondering if Frontier will accept them in the future?

At the moment there is full frequent flyer reciprocity between YX and F9, so you can earn or redeem Midwest Miles on Frontier. It's very likely that the two frequent flyer programs will merge into a single program in the near future, and quite possible they become a single airline.

That just kills me. Branson just doesn't seem like a flying market (as opposed to regional driving). Isn't Branson just a Gatlinburg in the Ozarks?? Much like the WN thing at PFN. I know there was a monumental subsidy by a local developer who obviously has more $$ than sense, but I mean REALLY...
