What's the best hotel on the Strip to go to for the Superbowl? Any suggestions from past years?

Thanks.

Most responses are going to be "How much is your budget?" because in vegas...you can literally buy anything, including the nicest room. Another question will be...do you have any loyalties to a casino brand.

I personally, am fairly loyal to Harrahs, and they have several properties. I have stayed at Ballys the past few years for the SuperBowl. The rooms are good sized (largest regular rooms on the strip) and the location is just about the middle of the strip. The sportsbook at Ballys is also pretty nice.

Anyway, that is just my two cents worth.

I've really enjoyed my time at Lagasse's Stadium (http://www.palazzolasvegas.com/lagasse.aspx) @ Palazzo.

It's a good question. I don't have any input, but I've heard some sports books put on a big party for the "big game" (actual Superbowl references deleted on advice of counsel, of course). Others, not so much. I think we can safely rule out Encore and anywhere DT.

Anyone in the know able to tell us who has the biggest and best shindigs?

The Las Vegas Review Journal has a page listing a number of Super Bowl events:

The Monte Carlo has a number of things going on:

And, I know the Hard Rock has an event in the Joint, but I can't find a link. Also, I hear that Wynn's Blush nightclub is having a party. Of course, the 'book at the Hilton will likely be a mad house, but it's probably the best place for prop bets.

My understanding is that the best parties are invite only for high rollers. I've seen ads for people selling their tickets for these events on Craigslist.

I think it's fair to say that practically every casino, bar, strip joint, restaurant, etc in Vegas is doing something Super Bowl related next Sunday. However, I have heard that Lagasse's sports bar is already completed reserved.

From emails I've received, lots of casinos are having "special" parties for their invited guests. The offers I've gotten were for 3 comped nights + the party. To get into one of the invited parties, you had to book the room also. Since it is difficult to stay in several casinos at the same time (two is my limit:D), one has to pick an offer and stick with it.
[The MGM-Mirage group of casinos, keeps track of duplicate bookings within their group; ditto for Harrah's.]
