Best Western Rewards - double or triple rewards (up to 3 times, on 4 stays)

Leave it to BW to have yet another confusing promo. The confusion this time is on what the difference between oodles of flavors is.

The basics of all of them seem to be:

"Complete 2 separate qualified stays and earn double rewards between 2/7 and 3/28/10"

"To qualify for triple rewards, reservations must be booked at" (more on this in a moment)

"Double or triple rewards will accrue beginning with the second qualified stay, and continue on each qualified stay thereafter, for up to four (4) stays (maximum of three (3) bonuses) during the Promotion Period."

Now here's the kicker: In the past, the AAA flavor has had either a bigger bonus or fewer qualificaiton requirements. Not that I can tell this time. In fact, the AAA bonus this time says it requires booking at a AAA site, rather than the normal Best Western site! Yuck! So even though I'm a BW AAA member, I just registered for the normal promo, since it will give me triple rewards for booking at bestwestern.com.

But that wasn't the end of it. I think I counted six (6) total flavors of the same promo, that showed up under Register For Special Offers (under My Account after I've logged in), and it took a while to parse and compare them all! Why must they make it so complicated???

(I can't confirm what all the other flavors were or list them now, since all the others disappeared as soon as I regsitered for one of them.)

Update:

I just got a letter from BW mostly telling me about my status (which they extended for 2010 even though I didn't requalify in 2009).

But at the bottom, in a box, it says:

UNLIMITED Doube Rewards between February 7th and March 28th

UNLIMITED Triple Rewards when you book at bestwestern.com

Yet at that website, I see the same T&Cs that I've seen before, which says it's most definitely capped at 3 times (on 4 stays).

So what in the world is UNLIMITED about it??? :confused:

It turns out I can't read. At least run-into-one-endless-paragraph BW T&Cs. :)

I called BW, and they explained that it's capped at 3 bonuses (4 stays) for "mere mortals", but UNLIMITED for BW elites.

And sure enough, if I read every sentence in that endless run-on paragraph of the T&Cs, somewhere in the middle after explaining that it's capped it says it's not capped for BW elites.

When is the bonus supposed to post?

I have not received the triple rewards point bonuses yet, even though the standard points have posted. Has anyone received the bonus credit yet?

I just checked tonight and the bonus has posted.
