Hi ladies,

I am new to this forum, but I really love it....:)

I was reading it a lot and I found a lot of suggestions how to travel (regarding clothes) in business class. Me and my hubby are travelling business class on 27.04.2010 Venice-Dubai-Venice.

If I can sum it up a lot of you suggest wearing: good mocasinos, pashmina, ll bean trousers and some nice Tshirs adding with some jacket.

Can you give me and advice which ll ben trusers to choose, as i will shop online, because we do not heva that store in our country.

Tnx....:)

Don't you think you could find a nice pair of trousers at the Coin Department Store? (I assume your home is Venice)

LL Bean Bayside Twill is a great year-around pair of slacks. Good pockets too.

Go online & look at the site to look at the pants, and then see if you can find something similar in your own country & save yourself the shipping costs.

Cheers.

Hi ladies,

I have just now orderd my llbean capris, trousers, short sleeve shirt and 3/4 pants for sport with UV protection. I decidet to order because the price is really reasonable if I compare to prices in my country. And they dont have as good offer.

Hi Ladies,

Thanks for the recommendations on this thread! Finding pants that look ok and travel well can be tricky. I've been wearing Earth Sea Sky Nova pants, made of Prolite fabric. The range is
here (http://www.earthseasky.co.nz/products/travel%20wear/prolitewomens.html). The darker colours - Graphite (dark grey / gray) and Coffee (dark brown) - are nice for smart casual wear. The description says they are 'hipsters', but really they sit only a bit under my waist. I've ordered them through an outdoor store in New Zealand.

you ladies are all so fashionable! I wore yoga pants and a long sleeve t-shirt during my last transpac. not very exciting but VERY comfy :) and since it takes 26 hours of transit time to get to Manila from Texas I went straight to the hotel and changed before going to work. Worked for me, but I can see how in other situations a little more formality wouldn't be so terrible.

This is my typical travel attire as well. I go for function/comfort, even if I'm in J or F.

I guess that was my point as well, I wear jeans every time I travel, I wouldn't buy special clothes just b/c I am traveling in Biz or First. Only exception to the jean rule was the first time I flew to OZ I had on sweat pants, but I was in coach :( . One other time flying in World Traveler Plus on BA ppl said you wouldn't get upgraded if you were wearing jeans. Wore some khaki's on the way out no upgrade, jeans on the return I was upgraded while on my flight from MUC to LHR for my LHR-SFO. LOL go figure

Time out!

I am not sure what airline you are flying, but for most Business Class I would NOT bother to buy "special" clothing. The effort will be wasted on your Flight Attendants and MOST of your fellow passengers. (Those that do notice, you probably aren't going to impress LOL! They are the ones who have a "lable" hanging off EVERY thing they wear. My favorite was the man in Louis Vitton suit.Pants, Jacket, shoes, bags all mongrammed to death.)

I wear a cotton knit pair of pants and jacket with a plain T shirt underneath. No airline has ever refused my money or my miles because of my wardrobe LOL!

Well if you see from my thread I did not buy any signed clothing or to impress anyone. I just wanted to look normal and comfortable on my firts flight in business. I do not wear jeans ever so they are out and I really would not like to travel in my fitness outfit.

And our flight is only 6 hours long, during day, so I wont need to sleep or anything like that.

I also dress normal when I travel in coach, so it is only a girly talk to me,...nothing more....:)

And these are usually the people who are totally clueless at the security line, collecting the ire of those behind them while they remove jewelry, watches, belts, etc.

LOL! I was just in line behind this couple that had huge belts mongrammed with some "fancy brand" which of course set off the metal detector as did the "gold" monogrammed necklaces (which caused said couple to complain since "gold" is not suppose to set the thing off... hmm.... :) )

LOL! I use this trick a lot. I have some tan coloured jeans that I wear on flights that don't really look like jeans unless you get way too close! It works out well because I sit on the back pockets (I'm a wheelchair user) so it's not that noticeable. When I get to the last airport I change into my WildKat polo shirt (I don't want to risk getting food on it on the plane) and I'm wrinkle free and good to go!

I wear comfortable clothes. When I fly business class it means I've spent way too much on the tickets to be able to afford good clothes.

I'm usually traveling to a hot climate, so I wear dark linen no waist slacks, a t shirt and a sweater or perhaps a fleece (if where I'm going can get cool). Nobody dresses to fly anymore.

Of course, I remember when one did dress to fly. And when airline food was good. But those days are gone, and now, I can afford to fly. Sometimes business class.
