Midwest - MCI - Terminal B 24 hour food confirmation?

According to the airport's website, there's a 24-hour Great American Bagel Bakery open in the B Terminal. Can anyone confirm that this is still the case?

Looking at a potential overnight there, and if the place is closed, or operating under different hours, I'll make other arrangements. Thanks!

Can't help with your question, but all concessions are landside, all gate areas will be shut down, so you'll have to be in the open hallways that are the landside area. There are some chairs, but I'd certainly not be able to get any rest.

Priceline a hotel...... :-)

Thanks. I knew about the goofy security setup, but I may look elsewhere as well.

I always fly out of A since I'm a *A flyer, but I would guess there's probably no way that there's anything 24-hour at MCI. Last flight comes in around Midnight and first leaves around 6:00 AM. Can't imagine they'd need to have anyone staffing anything other than janitorial duty between those hours.

This is exactly why I'm wondering. It just doesn't make sense to have 24 hr. food.

Yes, there is no 24 hour anything @ MCI as far as food options go. Everything shuts down ridiculously early in all terminals. I wouldn't recommend pulling an overnighter there either as it would be very noisy with the cleaning crews and that annoying overhead announcement about security precautions that plays every 10 minutes.

If you're looking for an affordable hotel option, Holiday Inn express is not too far away, and they have a shuttle that runs to and from the airport.

You need to call & check the hours on the shuttle if you are on a late flight. We flew in last year on one of the last flights (around 11:00 I think) & called for shuttle. It was no longer running, so had to shell out about $15-$20 for a cab.

Oops, forgot to add that. ksucats is correct, most hotels near the airport stop running shuttles between 9PM-11PM or whenever they're operating with minimal staff. Residence Inn for sure runs theirs until midnight. KCI Airport Marriott (on-site) runs theirs 24 hours a day.

For those who have booked hotels in advance and will be arriving late into MCI, I would strongly recommend that you call the hotel ahead of time to verify the availability of shuttle pickup. Cabs in KC are outrageously expensive!

Obviously some time has passed since this thread originated, but I can actually confirm that as of 3 weeks ago there was indeed a 24 hour Great American Bagel bakery still open at MCI Terminal B. There is not very much traffic in that part of the terminal since some gates moved. There are also some concessions inside security at B now including a limited menu Quiznos cart.

For an airport hotel, the Courtyard is pretty nice and I'm pretty confident that the shuttle does run 24 hours.
