I recently returned to this hotel for a stay in an executive club room using the very cool IHG F&F rate.
Location
The Hotel is located within easy walking distance of the Jalan Bukit Bintang shopping area and adjacent to the Raja Chulan monorail station.
Check-in
We are directed from the very busy main lobby up the club lounge on the 21st floor for check-in. The check-in process is very professionally handled. We're given welcom drinks, a letter outlining the executive club perks, and set off to our room on the 23rd floor.
Room
The room is large, well furnished, and well equipped. Large shutters from the bathroom allow you to watch TV from the bath and the king bed is comfortable. The TV is large, but not flatscreen.
Club Lounge
The staff are friendly and professional. The afternoon food presentation of sandwiches and a couple of hot items is so good we don't need to have lunch. The evening cocktail spread is equally good. It's wine and beer only, but the French wines are nice. Breakfast is pretty limited, and you're probably better off going down to the main restaurant. The are three computers with internet access for guests to use. Printing is charged and expensive at RM3.00 per sheet.
Overall
The CP is a good choice in a city with lots of nice mid-range and top end hotels.
