Women Travelers - feminine products on planes

If this isn't a women's only issue, I don't know what is!

Can/should you flush tampons in airplane toilets? I've seen signs that state "toilet paper only", but similar signs explicitly prohibit feminine napkins, diapers, airsick bags, paper towels, but don't list tampons.

If in doubt, I don't flush, is the rule of thumb that has served me well in this life, be it on a plane or be it friend who has a septic tank.

If in doubt, don't flush. Pretty much used to be taught at age 11 but who knows anymore...

Don't flush the tampons...... sigh......from experience.
It is embarrassing enough.......just don't flush 'em......
