I'm looking at a weekend in March going to a walking event in Daphne, Alabama. This appears to be roughly between MOB and PNS, possibly slightly closer to the former.

Is there any particular reason to prefer one airport over the other? It looks like fares are the same so schedules are probably the driver, but if, say, one has rental cars right outside the terminal vs. a shuttle bus that could be a factor.

And, yes, I know it is insane to fly 800 some odd miles each way to do somewhere between 1 and 5 walks of 10 km (6.2 miles) each, but this is FT.

No one has answered you so I will attempt to help. I have only flown into PNS once and it is a small decent airport. I think it is a little larger than Mobile. But, they are both just small regional airports so go with the best price or schedule for you.

Also, you might want to check to see if one place has better rental car prices than the other. I've noticed that rental car prices vary by as much as 30-40% from airport to airport on the Gulf Coast due to local taxes and fees.
