Hi folks,

is anyone of you flying out of SFO before 3pm tomorrow ?

Background, I'm coming in on a AA flight... most likely that flight is early but I would like to make a UA connection that leaves at 4:10p (scheduled arrival 3:30) instead of my booked connection of 8:30p.

I just did OLCI and the option to place yourself on the Standby for an earlier flight is gone :mad:

If someone could try and use the Chicken at SFO to put me on the SB that would be awesome. Just dont wanna run into a GA that is argumentative or unwilling if I make it "just on time". :rolleyes:

If you're flying out of a UA staffed station, then just have them add you at your origin.

You think I should ask in YVR ?

It's a little bit of a mixup... I have an award YVR-LAX-NRT.... Stopover in LAX. Leaving on AS though !

Then I decided to go to LAS and needed a seperate tix and aa.com sold me a combo of AA/UA via SFO for a fair price. Now just to get to LAS I fly YVR-LAX-SFO-LAS... any FTers dream :p :D

Right - when you check-in for your AA flight tomorrow just walk over to the UA counter and ask them to take care of this for you.

It's pouring rain in the Bay Area tonight and winter storm warnings are out across the Sierra. I wouldn't count on an early arrival. SFO can quickly become a mess during the rainy season here and they'll start metering flights. Rain is forecast to continue all the way through Monday afternoon.

Oh well, I will monitor it and worst case I will call the EXP desk for help, not sure how much they can do though as the fare is broken in SFO between AA/UA. With enough time in between that connection theres no reason to protect me on anything anyway. I might hope for some outbound delays as well. And maybe drop my bag at the Hilton LAX in the Layover time I have :o

Good luck...just got back to NYC on UA 34 (ps redeye from SFO to JFK)...made it in record time. We arrived an hour early even with the rain - I am guessing strong headwinds, as it was a less than 5 hour flight from SFO to JFK.
