Hello to all Alaska experts,
I am planning a vacation in the US in Aug. I will be in Vegas, Seattle and Alaska (not necessary in that order)
I want to take a short cruise (up to 5 nights) departing from Anchorage, Juneau, Seattle or Vancouver.
Cruisewest match my requirements - they have 4 nights cruises out of Anchorage or Juneau. How are they? We are 4 - two adukts and two chilren. Do you reccomend?
Do you know another cruises companies that match my requirements?

And last question - Is there any direct flight between Vegas and Alaska. I have seen on wikipedia that there is an charter airline who fly directly between Vegas and Anchorage. I believe they are called Omni Air. How are they? Where can I book their flights?

THX in advance.

I already answered you on Trip Advisor, which is much more active re: Alaska than here and where I think you will get more specific Alaska advice. But I don't know of any shorter (under 7 nights) cruises that depart from Seattle or Vancouver.

Besides Cruise West, you could look at Regent or perhaps National Geographic for possible shorter cruises.

Don't know anything about Omni Air.

US Airways flies LAS-ANC nonstop (year-round, I believe). However, I wouldn't wish US on anyone. ;) You can do LAS-SEA-ANC on AS, which is pretty much in a straight line (it's 11 miles more, so it doesn't add much to the flight time), with a 55-minute layover in SEA (a very pleasant airport to have a layover in). Besides, AS has much better service. :)

Not anymore. They now fly from PHX.

Ah, duh, right. Brain fart.

Just noticed you're MVPG on AS. LAS-SEA is reportedly a relatively easy route to get F upgrades on. Have you looked into using AS?
