S.P.A.M. - $5 Off Promo Code for airport parking (at over 100 US Airports)!!!

I just got a promo code valid for $5 Off Airport Parking at several off-airport lots at most major airports in the USA. The additional standard $5 booking fee is also currently being waived so it's more like $10 off. This code works GREAT to cut parking costs for cheap lots and especially for shorter rentals. If you use off-airport parking, this should help you get a nice discount.

To book, go to: www.aboutairportparking.com

And enter promo code: TravelDec09

This deal is for parking reservations made between 12/1/09-12/15/09, although the reservation can be made for any date in the future, in fact I was able to book some dummy reservations years in the future using this code. Reservations can be cancelled up to 24 hours in advance with no penalty. So if you know of your travel plans in the future, now is a good time to book parking with this code to save some coin.

In just checking 2 airports that I might use for parking, and as an example I was able to find:

1) PHX: $2 parking for one-day.
2) OAK: $4.76 parking per day on a 4 day reservation

Those are the only two airports I checked, so I'm sure there are plenty of great deals out there at other airports as well. From what I saw, their website was very functional as it allows you to comparison price vs the official airport parking lots as well as other local parking lots. And there's also a useful mapping function of all the lots available as well as user reviews of each lot. Enjoy. ^^^^^

Thanks for this GG, but I'm not seeing where to enter the discount code. I have a MR coming up out of BUF in February, and this might come in handy. Where does the code go?

LOL, I ran into the same problem myself when I tried entering the promo code. Turns out you have to actually either click "continue as a guest", or create an acct and password and login that way. I just "continued as guest" and it then took me to the next screen where I could input the promo code at the bottom, click "Apply", and then the new total shows up (you can do all this before you enter any credit card info BTW, even though it seems otherwise).

I generally steer clear of these pay-in-advance parking offers. I've found the coupons/links immediately above to be pretty good.

Just tried it for a one day reservation 12/4-5.

Entered the code and it said "FlyerTalkCommunityDec1-15-2009 has been applied against your total."

But the total didnt change.

I guess there is no penalty (ie, a fully refundable deposit) if you cancel more than 24 hours in advance of your reservation. I normally pay for parking directly at the airport lots, but after getting this e-mail code and looking into prices that are less than half what I pay for long-term airport parking (not to mention the fact that the long-term parking at my airport is always packed and often hard to find a spot), I am going to make some reservations using this link. I checked the other link provided above but wasn't able to find any codes/coupons that gave me a better rate, especially on the couple short trips that I have planned.

After looking into it more and trying to duplicate what you see, I now see that what is discounted is the "Deposit" (ie, what you pay in advance). Seems like different parking companies have different deposits though. I found some lots with only like $1 per day deposit, so $5 would be discounted with a 5-day booking. Other lots I found (in fact the one I plan to use) required a $6 deposit on a $7 daily rate. This code subtracted $5 from the deposit, bringing it down to $1 with $1 remaining due at the lot.

So that would be a total of $2 for a one-day booking. Or $9 ($4.50 daily) for a 2-day booking, etc. As I said, great for short term bookings, and I plan to give it a try on my next couple trips at those rates as I am used to paying $8-10 per day at my airport's long-term parking lot. Only too bad I can't do one-day parking lot hops similar to how I hotel hop for mattress runs. :D

Yes, I looked into it somemore and that is correct. The website is discounting the cut that they normally take and "rebating" it back to the consumer.

Thanks to OP for this. My parking for 2 days near O'Hare this weekend will be only $12.75.

And enter promo code: TravelDec09

Thanks for the tip, gg. It looks like this promo code just died from overuse. I suppose if you have to go, that's the best way. :D

Good point -- at DTW you can usually beat these rates by going directly to the parking lot sites and getting coupons they've posted on the web. (any pun intended!).

Does anyone have experience with this site?
To me, parking at the hotel is kind of weird.

This site -- www.aboutairportparking.com?

I used it for ORD and had no trouble. Many hotels near airports have park and fly rates, and some also do this. The machine gave me a ticket when I went through their gate, I took the hotel shuttle to the airport and back to the hotel when I returned and paid at the front desk. Easy.

(any pun intended!).One other place to look, if your local newspaper still has one, is the Sunday Travel section. Although they haven't run any recently, Park-n-Fly used to run $7.50 coupons (for a minimum three-day duration) in my local paper's Travel section.

I do most of my travel out of JFK. So if this helps anyone. I use
http://www.smartparkjfk.com

Their rate is lowest. There is a 5 hour grace period and their is no need for coupon because its the best deal out there. I was leaving the Smart Park facility when I returned from a business trip on Christmas Eve and when I got up the road there were cars all over the conduit from Avistar parking. Cops were giving tickets. It was crazy.

CVG parking is already as low as anything the coupons offer.
