View Full Version : LH SEN benefits with 2 passports

I have two citizenship (passport) with different names.
Because of visa reasons I have to travel mostly with #1 passport, but sometimes with #2 passport.
Because of LH lounge policy changed recently, I don't have access to Gold lounges if the BP is on my #2 passport name + I don't receive award/status miles.
Is there any possibility to get a second LH SEN card for my #2 passport added to the same account?

I don't want to be indiscrete, but why would your two passports show two different names? You only have one name, right?

I had the same name in both. Recently I changed my name only in one country.

I doubt M&M can do anything about this, but I guess it doesn't hurt to try asking. But I would give them a bit more detail - if you only give them the information you gave us in the first post, it sounds a bit dodgy!

Can't you get the name in the other passport changed, too?

Welcome to FT and the M&M forum!

I think in many cases you will be fine just by explaining that your name has changed.

However, most countries will require that the name on the ticket matches exactly the name on the passport. I see this to be the bigger problem than the lounge access.

hi ben,

for the lounge access, i think the worst case that could happen would be you having to show your two passports and explaining it to the lounge dragon. but i don't think they would refuse you access.

Two passports with two different names ist not that rare - even outside secret service circles...

Mrs KIXJNB is in a similar situation. She never had problems getting her miles credited - when the name of her M&M account does not match the name of her booking, miles get tossed out by the computer, but we have always been able to claim back afterwards.

I am quite sure that you should get access to the lounge when you explain and document your case nicely with the passports - but then, you never now with LH lounge staff... Good luck anyway!

I am in the same boat, 2 passports 2 names, and I am not MRS NSWAT, she only has one name, and I am also not in the spy business, though I suppose they would all say that:D

Having said that I have pretty much restricted travel to one passport to keep things simple

Got the same problem. With LH you get the Miles.
I only had a discussion with the famous "Munich Warden" about my names and my ticket.
But: Big Problem with QF/BA, I really have to be careful with that!
Absolute huge problems. with Accor A-Club!

me to, but i have 3 passports, with 3 similar names, only with all 3 passports shown at the same time does it make sense that i am the same person.

this is only a problem when traveling on passport A from somewhere not needing a visa to another place which does need a visa for that passport, but doesen't need it on passport B, but being ticketed under the name in passport A.

i use one name for all my tickets which is my main passport, and claim all my miles under that name, and when i check in i explain my problem, show them the passports, and they are fine.
i have been told this is a normal case, as there other many people in the same situation

Go through the A-Club Centre in the US (or Canada). Much better than Australia or France and they are good with those type of problems IMHO.
